This is the deck I used to win locals last week, it's a different version of the Synchro frog deck. I tried the traditional frog FTK which in my opinion isn't real Yu-Gi-Oh, then I tried the Synchro version but I think that fishborg blaster isn't enough, there where several times were I had to stall until I could get it to my hand. Then the answer dawned on me because I also play a Quickdraw Tuningware deck and I thought "why not combine the 2"? The consistency of a Quickdraw deck with the deadliness of a Synchro Frog deck, and it worked =)
Without further ado heres is my Quicky Frogs:
MONSTERS (27):
Frogs:
2x Substitoad
2x Ronintoadin
2x Treeborn Frog
3x Swap frog
3x Dupe frog
3x Des frog ***
1x Flip Flop frog
1x Beelze frog
2x Fishborg Blaster
Other:
1x Necroface
1x Sangan
3x Quickdraw Synchron
2x Fenrir
1x Jinzo
SPELLS (15):
1x Gold Sarc
1x One for one
1x Foolish burial
1x Des Croaking
2x Salvage
2x Mooray of greed
2x Mass driver
2x Pot of averice
1x Brain control
1x Giant trunade
1x Heavy storm
TRAPS (1):
1x Torrential Tribute
EXTRA DECK (15):
1x Drill Warrior
1x Nitro Warrior
1x Junk Destroyer
1x Armory Arm
1x Magical Android
1x Catastor
1x Brionac
1x Goyo
1x Black Rose
1x Ancient Fairy Dragon
1x Colossal Fighter
1x Thought Ruler Archfiend
2x Stardust Dragon
1x Red Dragon Archfiend
Thoughts on the deck:
It's a fun deck complicated but fun, frog synchro are one of the most difficult decks to play one mistake and you're done, but if you know what you're doing you'll win. I really like the quickdraws in here It helps so much on the consistency. But remember! If you are going to play this deck have something in the side for Banisher and Macro Cosmos, the destroys it...

Hey I won...
Well hello there..
I've now won 2 locals in a row, so I thought this calls for a celebration in the form of a blog.
Last week (8/8) I participated in the sneak peak of Duelist revolution, I initially didn't wanted to 'cause my economy sucks donkey balls, but a friend of mine paid for me and all he wanted in return was to see my cards and pick any that he wanted and keep, (which in this case only was 1 card). Beside the scrap archfiend we all got, I drew another one in my packs, and that helped med ensure my victory, I went 5-0 in matches and only lost 2 of 12 duels, it was quite simple really, I would get a scrap archfiend out, roam the field until my oppponent would get his out, then I would suicide and make my second one and since no monsters they had would be strong enough I would win (I did this in every duel execpt the 2 I lost).
This week (15/8) I played at locals, I played a frog synchro deck (my own build tjeck decklist "quickdraw frog"):
1st (opp. morphtronic) won 2-0: nothing special happened.
2nd (opp. Gadget stun) lost 1-2: He started with Banisher of the radiance all 3 games, I managed to TT in game 1 and won, but wasn't so lucky in the other 2.
3rd (opp. Infernitys) won 2-0: game 1: I drew both giant trunade and heavy storm, so I could do my stuff without worrying about anything stopping me.. Game 2: Got consecrated light in my opening hand, he used 4 cards to get rid of it, and had nothing left to stop me with =)
4th (opp. Ls/Chaos/Monarch) won 2-0: Game 1: I spammed the field with Des frogs used Des croaking attacked for aorund 6k and mass driver did the rest. Game 2: I started to do the same thing, my opponent asked if I had mass driver I shoved him and he scooped...
Play offs...
5th (opp. Gadget stun) Won 2-1: Game 1, he didn't get banisher, I won.. Game 2: Banisher and 2x Thunderking and oppression shut me down. Game 3: He got banisher spammed the field with 4 gadgets, he attacked my 2000 def frogs until he was at 6000 lp, he used solemn wich brought him at 3000 lp then I stalled with substitoad + dupe frog until half my deck was out of play, I tried to brain control his banisher, he book'd it, I used substitoads effect he used royal oppression (2200) destroying my cute frog. I had sided trap eater for this exact situation, I used it to make Brionac returned a S/T to his hand, attacked yellow gadget for 1100 dmg, summoned quickdraw synchron, and Fenrir used mass driver for game.
6th finals (opp. LS) won 2-1: Pretty straight forward, he used his JD, I used my mass driver, and I won =)
And the best part was that I drew Naturia Beast in my prize packs =)

Disrupt Deck
Normally I make decks that "builds" something, like stardust assault, fast synchros or something else, and I add a couple of cards to hinder my opponent like bottomless and mirror force. Then I thought instead of making a deck that helps me achieve a goal, how about I make a deck who's sole purpose is to stop and irritate my opponent!? And then I did, I present to you, my disrupt deck:
Monsters: (20)
(Beaters)
3x Thunder King Rai-Oh
3x KM Guardian
2x KM sandman
3x King Tiger Wanghu
(stallers)
1x Snowman eater
2x Legendary Jujitsu master
1x Shiba warrior Taro
(annoying critters)
2x D.D. Crow
1x NS Grand Mole
1x Morphing Jar
1x Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo
Spells: (13)
3x Burden of the mighty
2x Book of moon
2x Smashing ground
1x Heavy storm
1x MST
1x Card destruction
1x Nobleman of crossout
1x Brain control
1x My body as a shield
Traps: (10)
1x Mirror force
1x TT
2x Bottomless
1x Dark bribe
1x Starlight road
1x Trap Dustshoot
1x Magical cylinder
1x T-Roar
1x CoTH
My thoughts on this deck:
As you can see it is a beatstick deck, it has no high level monster, You could put in a monarch or 3, but I thought it would be fun not to. It has done well against almost any deck, it only lost to Machinas,(my beaters couldn't keep up with fortress + solidarity), and a flamvell/gravekeeper monarch build. It completely shuts down quickdraw decks as well as frogs with its 3 "king tiger wanghu's".
The problem with this deck is if my opponent succeeds in bringing out a stardust dragon, I have a lot of trouble getting rid of it again.
Oh, And Thunder King is amazing... =)

Quickdraw tuningware deck
Hey again, another REALLY! fun deck I've made, it's based on the popular Quickdraw synchron+ dandylion combo, and then I added tuningware and a couple of other cards =)
Enjoy!:
Monsters (25):
3x Tuningware
3x Cyber Valley
3x Junk Synchron
2x Dandylion
2x Quickdraw synchron
2x Quillbolt hedgehog
2x Debris dragon
2x Ryko
1x Synchron explorer
1x Sangan
1x Marshmallon
1x Chaos sorcerer
1x Tragoedia
1x Plaguespreader Zombie
SPELLS (13):
2x Machine Duplication
2x Inferno reckless summon
2x Pot of averice
1x One for one
1x Foolish burial
1x ROTA
1x Brain control
1x Heavy storm
1x Enemy controller
1x Burial from a DD
TRAPS (3):
2x Royal Decree
1x Starlight Road
EXTRA DECK:
These cards are a must have before this deck can work properly:
Junk destroyer (the new structure deck card)
Drill warrior
Black rose dragon
stardust dragon
the rest is up to you, I have:
Junk archer
Iron chain dragon
Ancient fairy dragon
red dragon archfiend
brionac
Goyo
Armory arm
catastor
colossal fighter
This is a draw deck, and it works really well, I seldom has below 4 cards in my hand, but then again you have tuningwares, cyber valleys and 2x pot of averice to help you with exactly this. Plus drill warrior keeps replenishing your hand and field through his effect combined with dandylion.
Combos:
There are alot of combos you can make, I will just write the ones I consistently pulled of.
Junk synchron revives tuningware + inferno reckless summon -this is an amazing combo because it's here that Junk Destroyer really shines, you forces your opponent to get 2 extra copies of a card out, then you summon Junk Destroyer and destroys all 3 copies of his monsters =)
Quickdraw Synchron + Dandylion --> Drill warrior + 2 Tokens = stall and hit with 1200 each turn, simply and amazing combo.
Another thing I like about this build is that you have a high monster and spell count which only leaves room for a few traps, but then you can play royal decree and in a trap heavy format like this it's a nice protection to have.
Try this deck out, you won't be dissapointed..! =)

Stardust Assault Deck

This time I'll make a decklist of one of my favorite decks and deck type, the stardust assault deck. I have used more time on this deck than any other deck I have ever made, I've made at least 6 different versions of it, but this is my favorite (on the march '10 banlist).
MONSTERS:
2x Stardust assault -The Boss monster of the deck, (and probably the best in the entire game)
2x Assault Beast -Searches out my assault mode activate
3x Flamvell firedog -Yes I use the flamvell engine
3x Flamvell Magician -I really like this card, lv 4 tuner that dodges bottomless, Thank you.
2x Gravekeeper's spy -I run the gravekeepers engine too, (helps with lv 8 synchros)
1x Gravekeepers Guard -1900 def + flip effect.
1x Plaguespreader -He is good in every deck, better in this (see further down)
2x Quillbolt hedgehog -In the beginning most people are like really!? but they end up hating this little fellow.
1x Krebons -Still the best tuner in my opinion
1x Psychic commander -For more variated tuning.
1x Summoner monk -Gets FV magician for lv 8.
1x Sangan -Useually search out summoner monk.
1x Gorz -Stops OTK
1x Morphing Jar -I can burn my hand really fast making my boss, this helps replenishing it.
SPELLS:
1x Brain control -Gotta run brain control.
1x Mind control -Helps my with more tuning.
2x Instant fusion -AKA Instant Tuning. (gets lv. 4 or 5 from extra deck)
2x Rekindling -Insane swarm potential.
1x Emergency teleport -Again, helps with tuning.
1x Foolish burial -Dumps plague and Hedgehog.
2x Pot of averice -Sometimes you draw a stardust, this helps put him back in the deck.
1x Giant trunade -Clears the field so I can make SDAM.
1x My body as a shield -When I'm setting up for my boss, I need to be able to protect my monsters.
TRAPS:
2x Assault mode activate -Self explanatory.
2x Imperial Iron wall -My gem in this deck (I'll explain all the good things about this card in its own thread.)
1x Dark Bribe -When I'm making big plays, stops my opponent.
1x Dust tornado -Destroy opponent card, set assault mode activate for next turn SDAM.
1x Starlight Road -Free stardust, yes please.
1x Call of the haunted -Good card in this deck.
Now I'll explain a little about this deck before I show the side deck. First of all this decks job is making lv 8 synchros, and it does that job very well, some examples:
instant fusion + FV magician/psychic commander
Summoner monk + FV magician
FV firedog + FV magician
Starlight Road
Brain/mind control +Tuner
rekindling
random monster + emergency teleport + hedgehog
Plaguespreader + hedgehog + lv 4.
The gem of the deck as I wrote earlier is Imperial iron wall, it keeps plaguespreader and hedgehog in the grave for almost unlimited tuning, an example, plague spreader + hedgehog for armory arm, then plague + hedgehog + Armory arm for stardust. And it Stops my opponent from using DD crow/Kycoo/GB retiari when my SDAM is in the grave.
Side deck:
2x Skill Drain -One of the most insane combos in the game SDAM+Skill drain, (in case you don't know) because SDAM's effect starts with him tributing himself, he is no longer on the field when his effect resolves, so it's not negated, so I can stop my opponents S/T whith SDAM while Skill drain renders their monsters helpless.
2x Scrubbed Raid -This is against GB, with imperial iron wall plague and hedgehog in grave and can stop them unlimited.
1x One for one
3x consecrated light -If you don't play BW or Infernitys, you gotta run these 4 cards.
2x Trap eater -Stops royal oppression
2x Light imprisoning mirror -Stops Fairys and Lightsworn (Kristya)
2x Magnetic Mosquito -Stops Machinas
1x Dust tornado -Another out against toyal oppression.
Extra deck: Just keep a minimum of 2 Stardust dragon and 1 armory arm, and you'll be fine.

How to make a new deck?
Every duelist have their own way of creating a new deck, some use their favorite cards first and build up a deck around them, some follow a skeleton with the best cards and fill in the blanks, and others simply avoid the "trouble" and netdeck, in this blog I will go through a good way to do it, and then how I usually do it.
First up, as much as I like originality I must admit that some cards just are to good to ignore (at least in most decks), I'm talking about cards like brain control, mirror force, bottomless and their like. So an approach I've used a couple of times is first build this "skeleton" of the best cards, and afterwards filling in the blanks.
One example of a skeleton could be:
1x Gorz/tragoedia
1-2x Cyber dragon
1x Sangan
1x Gold Sarc
1x Heavy storm
1x MST
1x Brain control
1x Torrential tribute
1x Trap Dustshoot
2x bottomless trap hole
1x mirror force
1x Starlight road
1x Call of the haunted
This skeleton is very basic and would fit nicely into almost every deck. Then there a various deck types where some additional cards should be added, an example is a dark deck:
+
1x Dad
1x Allure of darkness
1x Plaguespreader
1-3x Caius
1-2x Mystic Tomato
1x gale
When I usually make a deck, I see a card(s) I want it to revolve around, and go from there and example of this is my stardust assault mode deck (decklist will be added soon), here I started with:
2x Stardust dragon AM
2x Assault mode activate
2x Assault beast
Then I needed quick ways of making lv 8 synchros, so I added these cards:
1x Summoner monk
3x Flamvell magicians (since his atk. is lower than 1500 bottomless doesn't get to him, as it does for rose)
2x Flamvell firedog (since I got 3 magicians, I might as well ad the puppy)
2x Rekindling (fits in nicely now)
2x Instant fusion (brings out lv 4 fusion to help magician make lv 8 =)
Now we have 16 cards in there, so we got about 24 places left for cards that will help me bring out my boss monster, like:
1x Plaguespreader
2x krebons
1x emergency teleport
1x sangan
1x brain control
1x mind control
1x call of the haunted
And then we need some cards to stop the opponent:
1x mirror force
1x heavy storm
1x Gorz
1x Starlight road
1x Dark bribe
(As you will notice, most of the cards on this list is taken from the basic skeleton above)
Now we have a total of 29 cards which leaves only about 11 spaces, but these can then be used for your favorite cards, for me it was:
1x Shiba warrior Taro
1x Dandylion
1x Enemy controller
1x Pot of averice
1x Morphing Jar
2x Quillbolt hedgehog
add in some playtesting and final tweaks, and you got yourself a new deck to play =)

My Monarch deck:
This is my first deck I brought with me to locals, and I've stuck with it ever since, (with some tweaks of course, I got things like mirror force, Dad, plaguespreader, gold sarc later). This is the latest version of it enjoy!
Monsters:
The big monsters:
1x DaD -Amazing card, hated tele-dad format but at 1 it's ok.
1x Gorz -Stops OTK's + I like that the token is a fairy =)
1x Chaos sorcerer -I used to run 2 before it got limited, so this deck lost some speed.
1x Cyber dragon -I only run 1, couldn't find room for 2.
Monarchs:
3x Caius -Fantastic card, my favorite move is getting the opponent down below 1000Lp, the summon and remove himself for 1000 burn damage =)
3x Raiza -Not as good especially in last format, but I think it'll do better this format.
1x Mobius -People doesn't really expect this card that much + you don't have to activate his effect, so if my opponent has a clear field I can still get him out.
Tuners:
2x Krebons
1x Plaguespreader
Other:
1x Kycoo -I have come to really like this card, removes my opponents treeborn, plaguespreader etc. The bad side, when my opponent uses brain control, steals it, and removes MY treeborn =( (look at "cards that ruin the game)
1x D.D. Warrior Lady -A better that my opponent will think twice about attacking.
1x Grand mole -Not many people uses this, but I love it, it dodges trap hole, works against synchros, doesn't flip = wrecks stall decks, just no bad side to him.
1x Sangan -Usually searches out my grand mole, or:
1x Marshmallon -I've won games by stalling with this one card =)
1x Treeborn -Staple
1x Dandylion -My favorite card
1x Skelengel -Don't underestimate the power of this card.
1x Night assailant -Man eater bug + can get me skelengel back if discarded.
Spells:
1x Heavy storm -Staple
1x MST -Not my favorite card but a most run.
1x Lightning vortex -Ditch treeborn, dandylion or night assailant to destroy all my opponents monsters.
1x Gold Sarc -Deck thining.
1x Foolish burial -dumps treeborn/dandy + gets that 3rd dark for DaD or a light for chaos sorcerer.
1x E-teleport -Tuning
1x D.D.R. - different dimension reincarnation -I like this card, I summon Caius remove backrow,my opponent uses his bottomless to remove my monarch, I summon DaD, clear field, DDR for 5200 damage =)
1x Scapegoat -Stops OTK + makes goyo/brionac with krebons/plague.
1x brain control -You got to play this card.
1x Book of moon -Stops synchroing + re-uses my flip effects.
1x pot of averice -Gets me my monarchs back + more cards to the hand.
Traps:
1x Torrential tribute -Like it on my first turn with treeborn, set set blow my opponents monster, get treeborn in my turn.
1x bottomless -could only find room for one.
2x Threatening roar -I like this over a second bottomless.
1x mirror force -Staple
1x Dimensional prison -I only got one.
1x Divine wrath -This is surprise card No. 2, people don't usually play it since it's a -1, but i think it's worth it.
Other cards that have been in and out of the deck:
The tricky -nice beater but a bit high on the cost.
Enemy controller -Still misses it, but couldn't find room.
Breaker -I found him a bit slow, because you can't use priority.
Marauding captain -I used to run a deck with more tuners, this was an early synchro.
Spell Striker -A card also with no real downside (except maybe its low atk)
Hope you liked it..

My favorite Yugi-tube pages:
There are alot of videos on youtube for people who likes yu-gi-oh, and it can sometimes be hard to find the good ones, here I have compiles a list of channels to which I am suscribed to, and like, go tjeck them out:
http://www.youtube.com/user/DuelingDays -This channels is my absolute favorite, these guys show (in my opinion) the way to play and enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh. The have the most innovative decks I've seen around, and they show and explain them to you. Another plus, they play the asian scene so you get to know what will be good in the future western scene, and you can start trading for it while it's cheap. You can also tjeck out their blog at: http://duelingdays.blogspot.com/
http://www.youtube.com/user/dubkdad1 -This takes the second place because dubkdad and his team (DKF) keeps uploading new and exciting videos, they have: Decklists, matches, trades, competitions and when a new booster comes out you can join them in the case busts.
http://www.youtube.com/user/aznpersuasion2008 -Another member of team DKF, I like his channel because of his many duel videos, and because he can be funny as hell.
http://www.youtube.com/user/pozjoker -This guy is probably the king of yugitube, just go tjeck him out.
http://www.youtube.com/user/SFLTeamIllusion -This should be one of the best teams in the west, and they have a ton of videos.
http://www.youtube.com/user/ThatJTkid -My very first subscribtion at youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/user/lilwunxx
http://www.youtube.com/user/mkohl40 - He makes a ton of videos, a lot of them is in my opinion a bit boring, but you can learn something from him.
The more competative scene:
If you want to netdeck a competative deck tjeck these channels out.
http://www.youtube.com/user/dalebellido -Besides his decks, he also have a nice segment were he goes through a duel hand by hand and explain what happened and what the players did wrong.

Which cards ruin the game? (I)
Hello, another thread that I plan to update on a regular basis. There are many cards out there in yugi land, some of them lies in shoeboxes hoping for someday to see some play, some where too powerfull and was banned and will probably never come back to the tournament scene, and then there are cards that are unfair and should be banned, or never even have been made, this blog is for them. I present to you THE CARDS THAT RUIN THE GAME!
First up is a card that many players predicted would get banned with the march '10 banlist, but it didn't, I'm talking about Brain Control ! Many prof. players dislike this card because of its ability to turn a whole game around, (the same reason Monster Reborn was disliked) Imagine the following scenario: You and your opponent have chipped away at each others life points for an entire duel, and you have come out on top, Both you and your opponent has 1000 LP left, you have a Gorz, Stardust and mystic tomato on you monster line-up, bottomless, starlight road and MST on your backrow, your opponent has NO CARDS on his field nor hand, he topdecks Brain Control, takes Gorz, attacks your mystic tomato he wins..! The only feeling you are left with is an urge to scream JUDGE..!!! because this should not be allowed to happen, but it does time and time again... (this is in my point of view the reason monster reborn got banned, because you could have a graveyard filled with little 1500 max critters, and topdeck monster reborn and win (same scenario as above (minus the bottomless), just put blue eyes or something in your opponents graveyard).

Frog Otk Side surprise
This is a version of the now popular frog synchro OTK, with a bit of a twist, see in between duels in can become a frognarch deck just to mess the opponent up a bit =)
Main:
Monsters:
3x Des Frog (for synchro)
3x dupe frog (lockdown + sangan effect+des croaking)
3x swap frog (simply amazing card, ditch ronin and treeborn+ reuses monarchs)
2x Treeborn (frogs for frogs, tribute fodder for monarchs nuff said)
2x Ronintoadin (the card that makes the frog deck explode)
1x beelze frog (lv 3 for Mist worn (beelze+fishborg+des frog))
1x flip flop (if the OTK isn't possible it helps with stalling)
2x substitoad (yeah well... you know)
2x Fishborg Blaster (the main tuner)
1x necroface (to re-use all the frogs removed for ronin)
1x Gorz (stops My opponents OTK)
2x Krebons (It is a fusion between monarchs and frogs, so these kinda had to go in here)
(overvejer at skifte dem ud med et par monarcher, evt Jinzo)
Spells:
2x Salvage (hand advantage)
1x Moray of greed (could only fit one in here)
1x Mass driver (OTK card)
1x Des croaking (I seen a couple of frog builds, and I wonder why no one had included this card, because with 3x des frog, 2x ronin (named des frog on field), 3x Dupe frog (named des frog on field) it's really easy to use.)
1x Heavy storm (helps with OTK)
1x Giant trunade (Look --> heavy storm) + Again I've seen alot of people running cold wave instead of this, and I don't get it, you can't use your pot of averices or mooray of greed, og hand destruction or one for one etc.)
1x my body as a shield (in case you didn't draw one of the 2 above montioned cards + in longer duels it protect your dupe lockdown)
1x Gold Sarc (gets one for one, fishborg blaster or substitoad into your hand earlier)
1x Card destruction (speeds up the deck + helps against dead draws)
1x one for one (one of the key cards of this deck)
1x foolish burial (dumps fishborg + ronintoadin + treeborn)
2x Pot of averice (let you re-use des frog + swap frog for more synchroing)
1x Emergency teleport (gets krebons)
1x Enemy controller (in a frog deck it's like change of heart, it's practically free)
1x inferno reckless summon (again a card I miss in a lot of other net decks, when you revive ronintadin frog the grave it has 100 atk and is named DES FROG, so you can gets 3 additional cards frog anywhere and swarm with 1900 atk frogs, follow this by a quick des croaking and a mass driver = game to you)
Traps:
1x Return from different dimension (in longer duels, when you have emptied out your grave for ronintoadin, this helps with the last push for game)
Now to the fun part, the side deck:
3x raiza
3x caius
1x mobius
1x Jinzo
1x plaguespreader
1x tragoedia
1x bottomless
1x dimensional prison
1x call of the haunted
1x torrential tribute
1x mirror force

Welcome to my Yu-Gi-Oh! page. This place is mostly for myself, so I can keep track of all the decks I make, and how they stack against each other.
